Requirement: Prepare a minimum quantity price and send to client. Many applications in scope — start with a minimum footprint and scale gradually as old workloads are migrated.

Approach: minimum viable configuration first, phased expansion over time as migration progresses.
Timeline: client is still in solution exploration. Their VMware licence is perpetual, so there is no urgency to migrate — a long-cycle, relationship-driven deal.
Workload plan: migration from existing legacy workloads onto the new platform.

Open concern — switch hardware investment: client wants us to assess whether switch usage can be consolidated, and if so, how it will affect performance. They want to be informed up front before committing.

Next step Prepare a quotation based on the minimum-size configuration across two AZs, clearly showing which existing assets can be reused and what must be purchased — including the switch-consolidation and performance-impact answer.

Situation: The AWS public cloud subscription currently sits in China. AIS is discussing with ZTE a plan to move from China to Thailand.

If they move, platform and middleware must move together — they cannot be separated.
They also run some SaaS services on AWS, which adds to the comparison scope.
Timeline: considering migration next year, with real migration also next year.

Next step Build the move-together comparison (platform + middleware + SaaS dependencies) so AIS can evaluate the China → Thailand shift on a like-for-like basis.
